UPS and Fed Ex Shipping

UPS and Fed Ex Shipping

UPS/Fed Ex Instructions

1) Remove or cross out all old labels (especially old UPS/FedEx labels).

2) Fill out and attach our UPS labels with destination address (no P.O.B.’s) and 1 of total, 2 of total, etc.

3) Fill out the UPS inventory sheet in ALL areas except weight. We will weigh the pkgs. Make sure info and # on sheet correspond to info and # on labels. If you don’t specify, we will ship ground with minimum ($100) insurance. We will require YOUR UPS or FedEx account to pay for the basic charges, so please fill that in, unless you know we have it in the office. The bill for service charges will follow.

4) Please indicate whether the shipment is destined for a residential address. Please be honest—UPS and FedEx have tightened up on this aspect, and will bill us accordingly.

5) If you are storing with us, do not include UPS/FedEx packages on the regular inventory sheet.

6) Find the Art In Motion site coordinator and s/he will check your pile and paperwork.

UPS/Fed Ex Service Charges

For artists who are using us solely for shipping UPS or FedEx

The formula is: We double the shipping but not the insurance (if UPS is $60 and insurance is $5, total bill is 60 + 60 + 5 = $125). Minimum service charge is $50.

For artists using us for normal transport from show to show

Artist will pay the normal transport charges on the entire pile—UPS/FedEx and storage packages together, plus $10 for first UPS/FedEx package and $5 for each additional UPS/FedEx package.

Packing tips:

(a) include a separate address label inside the package especially if package value is over $1000;

(b) if you ship wearables, pack with a plastic bag inside the carton for garment protection.
